It’s long been the case that Blacks suffer disproportionately worse out comes than the general population on several measures. Our family incomes are lower. Black businesses have average year revenues several times lower than those for Hispanic, Asian, and white businesses. Then there’s healthcare. Black Americans have approximately a five-year lower life expectancy than whites and experience earlier acquisition of disease and higher rates of death for nearly all the top ten causes of death.
