“HEALTH EQUITY – ACCESS TO HEALTH CARE/OUR PEOPLE AND THE PANDEMIC”
Session topic/description: This forum will discuss how access to comprehensive, quality health care services are important for promoting and maintaining health, preventing and managing disease, reducing unnecessary disability and premature death, and achieving health equity for all Americans.
The session will include a discussion on the pandemic and its extraordinary (and ongoing) impact on people everywhere, but especially how it has hit the black and brown communities—education, job loss, vaccination, recovery plans, health and wellness. We also take this opportunity to honor the First Responders who have been instrumental in bringing us through the COVID-19 pandemic.
